Editor's Review
The A220 has since been replaced by a number of models, check out the JV100 or J30 for similarly priced alternatives. Here's what we wrote when the A220 came out:
The A220 is another boring point-and-shoot, perfect for shoppers who want an extremely basic digital camera at a very low price. The A220 is as barebones as it gets, and this might make a nice gift for children or those who aren't technically inclined.

My camera will not turn on (ashleyniemiec — 12/21/2009)
After I noticed my batteries were weak, I decided to swap them for my new rechargeable batteries. My camera did not turn on when I had inserted them so I figured maybe I hadn't charged them properly. I put in new batteries, but the camera still wouldn't turn on. I then put the old batteries back in and the camera still did nothing. It does nothing when I plug it into my computer. The User Manual CD does not do anything when I put it in the disc drive. How can I fix this?

Check your battery contacts. Clean them with a pencil eraser. But it isn't enough to swap out the batteries, you have to be sure you are a) using the type of batteries that are recommended and b) that they have a high enough mah rating to power your camera. These days, you need an mAh of at least 3000 to satisfy the high power needs of today's digital cameras.
As for your CD, that's an entirely different issue that's best handled in a computer forum. That could be anything from a bad disk to a bad CD player.
