Lens cover won't open (E F — 12/18/2006)

I've owned the A303 for 4 years and now the lens cover won't open. Sounds like this is a manufacturer's defect. Worked great until then.

Lens cover problems too. (jgdf — 11/29/2006)

Same problem as the other user stated.
Lens Cover won't open after 3 years of good use, therefore camera is useless.

**zoom error killed my camera*** (Kacie — 10/27/2006)

I bought the camera off of ebay, it was refurbished so I'm not sure exactly how old it was. It worked good and I loved the simplicity of it, for about 6 months. Then I went to zoom in to take a picture and I got *zoom error*, I did what the manual said, the zoom is stuck and Will not work. The camera is now useless.

Be Careful with LCD screen! (rich — 09/04/2006)

The screens will break if you subject them to trauma! Great Camera but I put mine in my pocket and the screen cracked when I bumped it on a vehicle.

Did good while it lasted (Nicole — 08/08/2006)

The Fuji Finepix A303 was a good beginner camera with easy to use controls and simple point and shot. I got it as my first ever camera to start out with, it was good while it lasted, but since I have had it for about 3 years it up and died on me. Well kind of, first the lens wouldn't work as well then the lens cover would get stuck. After about 3 months of it doing that, it finally just totally died for no big reason. It will never turn on again. It did give me good photo's for it's time though, at the time I got it a 3.2 mega pixel was one of the higher mega pixel cameras. I was just starting to look for a new one when this one died, I guess nothing lasts forever though. I was hoping it would have lasted at least 5 years though.

Fuji A 303 (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

Good for point and shoot. Slow between shots. slow to recharge flash.
Bought 2 cameras and both required repair when LCD screen stopped working.

horrible! (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

it took forever to take the pics and it was overall really bad

Very good for the price (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

This is the first digital camera that I've ever owned, so it does have a soft spot in my heart. Objectively speaking though, it's an excellent camera. The quality of the photos are VERY good. The only setback, is the shutter lag. It takes forever to take a single picture, and takes forever and a day if you're using flash. The flash takes a long time to charge. But if you're not shooting action shots, and it's mainly just pictures of family or still objects, this camera should be an option you should seriously consider.

Very easy to use, but lack of manual features is frustrating (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

it's a nice camera that is very easy to use. the quality of photos is nice with the exception of the fact that you can't simply turn the flash off. the flash is a bit too sensitive, often going off even in bright sunlight, and has a tendency to whitewash a lot of photos. a bit of a lag between taking photos, especially when battery charge is a bit low. otherwise, the photos are sharp, the software is easy to use, and it's so easy to use that a monkey could do it.

Great camera (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

What a nice camera, very easy to use & very lightweight & slim (like me), takes great pics, pity there is no sound to the Video, but it's still a great looking camera.
