I think this camera works perfectly. I'm not out trying to capture any masterpiece pictures with it, but it does take descent pics. Just a nice point and click. I took it to Mexico with me and took pictures with it while snorkeling on the reef and the pictures turned out awesome. I have taken it in salt water and fresh water and I've never had a problem.

My hubbie and I purchased this little number at Duty Free just before we boarded our flight to Tahiti. Used it under water nearly every day. Took over 400 photos. Has never leaked. Photos are pretty good. Of course it depends on how clear the water is too. Filming is average, no where near as good as my Casio Ex-P505 but then I haven't found many cameras that do take good film. Only thing that we did think was rather odd is that some of the coating peeled off the corner and by the 3rd swim was gone completely. So its green & silver now :) Overall I'm pretty happy with the camera

I bought this camera for my daughter and the first time she took it in the pool it leaked. I took it to Fuji Canada and they were very quick to point out a crack right where the bolt screws the two halves together. Obvious to me this is a manufacture issue, they claimed that I must have dropped it, which I did not as it was a first time use and definately NOT dropped. Upon inspection that they could find no evidence of any bump, dent or anything to say theat it was dropped, the service rep went on to say that perhaps I had 'carried it to hard' therefore squeezing the camera to cause it to crack. My daughter is 14 and has never lifted a weight in her life heavier than a book...This company is ridiculous and they will say anything not to honour their warranty.

I have only owned this camera for 5 months, taken pictures on dry land which are grainy and bad...my 8 year old panasonic digital camera takes much much better pictures! I used it 3x times in the water for a total of about 9 pictures each time and on the third time it just died...and where i bought it from will not cover it under warranty becuase a grain of sand got between the seals where the battery cover is. Now i can kiss good buy to my $350 NZD. Utter crap, poor after service. BAD EXPERIENCE all round. Dont purchase it! Its a poor quality NOT waterproof camera.

i bought the first one in Novemeber, all went well until i used it underwater in a shallow swimming pool. The back screen went foggy and then stopped working. The store i bought it from replaced the camera. 20 something days later the replacement one has done the same thing! Do not use this camera in water at all!! I even had the protective silicone case on it as well.

I bought this camera for my son and he uses it all the time, the videos are actually very good with sound, it takes very good pictures under water, he has used it under water a few times now and has had no problems with it. It doesnt always take the best quality pictures indoors or in low light but works great for him.

I bought the FUJI FinePix Z33 waterproof camera at walmart for $160 and used it IN and UNDER the waves at Seaside Heights, NJ as well as in the heavily chlorinated pool at the hotel - everythings worked great and the underwater photos and MOVIES are razor sharp, perfectly exposed and simply AMAZING ! Even the SOUND UNDEWATER was as clear & as understandable as could be expected !! AFTER a week of extensive daily use and nightly charging, the camera FAILED TO CHARGE and was EASILY exchanged for a FREE replacement at Walmart with the receipt. THE 2nd CAMERA has worked flawlessly, I BODY SURFED all day in the ocean while filming myself diving & surfing IN and UNDER the fairly rough surf and waves of HIGH TIDE !! EVERY SINGLE photo and MOVIE WITH SOUND was AMAZING !! I have taken it mountain biking, kayaking and used it in the rain with EXCELLENT RESULTS ! I mostly use it as a POCKET SIZED CAMCORDER ! VERY PLEASED - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED ! NO I do not work for FUJI - I am just a gadget guy, outdoor enthusiast ! I have owned atleast 6 digital cameras and used many more ! I will update if any problems or leaks occur.

I´ve had the z33 for 2 months and was very happy with it. Yesterday i went to try it in the water, all closed propperly and very gently i got in the water, 0.5m down it died :((

the quality of the photos are better in natural day light. But doesn't look so bad indoor either.. I took a picture of a centipede and it showed amazing details. I've never used it underwater yet, so can't comment on that. But overall it's a 10.0 megapixel camera with 3x optical zoom and it's waterproof, can't go wrong for about $150.

Rubbish grainy pics, great in the water, great looking, but the pics are NOT clear and very grainy
