The Kodak Easyshare C180 is very, very inexpensive, and that's undoubtedly its best feature. Aside from it's colorful plastic shell, everything else is entirely unremarkable: 10.2 megapixel sensor, 3x optical zoom, 2.4-inch LCD display, and face detection. Kodak insists that this takes "HD pictures," which is total nonsense and misleading to consumers. That simply means that the C180 can take pictures in a wide-screen, 16:9 format so that it displays correctly on an HDTV. The C180 doesn't even have a high-definition output, and in any case, almost any camera on the market can take pictures in a 16:9 ratio. If you're going to buy this camera, do it because it's cheap, not because it has great features (because it doesn't). And remember what mama told you: You get what you pay for. We recommend that you go for something like the Samsung SL30 instead.

Conflict with Older Version of Kodak Easyshare Software (Karla Ward — 06/12/2010)

When I inserted dvd, my antivirus picked up riskware warning, immediately. Never even got the pictures to download to computer, it blew up my first laptop, and when I asked for help through Kodak website, the girl sent me to the same location that I had informed her there was no resolve to the issue. I believe it's called getting the SHAFT.

Do not buy this camera. Kodak will not stand behind their product. My camera was defective, everytime you turned it on the lens would come out and immediatley go back in. They sent it out for service it worked for three months then problem began again. Now they say I would have to pay for repair!! Boo to Kodak for poor customer service

I bought this camera a week ago and cannot take more than 12 - 13 images without having to replace the batteries. Since purchase, I've used it 3 times, (and removed the batteries immediately after each use)& taken aprox. 40 shots TOTAL. It ate up the batteries that came with the camera after about 10 shots, so, thinking perhaps they were old batteries, I bought a battery charger and switched to rechargeable duracells. I took another 15 photos and had to recharge, and just took another 11 shots and there isn't enough juice in the camera to tranfer the photos to my computer. Who can afford to keep this camera in batteries?

I'm betting you're using underpowered AAs. You really need batteries with a power rating (in mAh) of at least 2500-3000. Regular alkalines won't cut it.

Thank you so much for this information. You're talking to a total moron when it come to anything technical though, do I understand that the batteries sold with th4 camera are inappropriate? No WONDER I'm having trouble!!!! Would you mind advising me on where I find the batteries you mention? Are they readily available, and why wouldn't a sales person inform me of the proper batteries to buy?

Thanks again, at least I feel there's some hope for remedy.

Nu cred că Kodak are o prezenţă în România. Puteţi căuta site-ul Kodak de certificare a calităţii pentru cea mai apropiată locaţie pentru a găsi aparatul foto pe care îl căutaţi. Iată link-ul:
