The rangefinder M-E is built around the same 18 megapixel full-frame CCD sensor as the M-9, but Leica is marketing the camera as a stripped-down model focused purely on photography. We can assume this means no video (and of course no GPS or wireless), but the press release doesn't hold a whole lot more information. The simple and retro styling is definitely mouthwatering, but the $5450 price tag for such a paired-down camera is more of an eye-opener. But hey, it's Leica.
