Nikon Coolpix L14
Editor's Review
Another simple compact point-and-shoot from Nikon, the L14 tries to distinguish itself by claiming to have the longest battery life for a camera of its class. Nikon says a pair of AA lithium batteries (take note that these are not alkaline or NiMH) will allow for around 1,000 photographs. That does sound impressive.

This camera does not come with a video option. Just photos. Good luck in your search.

With the newness of this camera, there doesn't seem to be much technical data available on it. You can find some at the Nikon Site ( nikonusa.com/fileuploads/pd... ). I've been through a lot of other review sites and they don't have recovery time available either. I would recommend going to a retailer and testing the camera if possible. Good luck.

I bought the Nikon L14 with the idea that it would be great for my vacation as it fits in a pocket. I went away on a three month vacation, with this camera as my only mode of documentation. Normally, I would use my very reliable and much superior Canon DSLR XT Rebel, but I didn't feel like the extra weight this time. Anyway, halfway through the trip I got a 'digital error' message, and the camera quit. When I got back (after three months) I tried to take it in for repair. I was told that the warranty was up, and that it would cost more than the camera was worth to get it repaired. (I had no idea any camera came with a 3 month warranty). So thanks, Nikon. Thanks for nothing. I will never, ever buy a Nikon from you. That's right, your $200 profit you made from selling that little piece of junk just cost you another customer. One who spends thousands on camera gear. Thanks for nothing. You suck and blow at the same time.
