Editor's Review
The S3300 and S4300 are essentially identical other than the S4300's larger 3-inch LCD. Both have 16 megapixel sensors and a useful 6x zoom with a 26mm wide-angle. The video, as you'd expect from a CCD sensor, is 720p. Unless you need the extra real estate on the back, you'll save some money by choosing the S3300.

Nikon COOLPIX jammed (Anonymous — 10/22/2012)
I have a Nikon COOLPIX S3300 and it came up with a lens error when i tried to turn it on. the lens opens a bit but then goes back in. when it does this it makes a rustling noise so i assume theres dirt or something. I need to use the camera next week as im attending a wedding. any ideas of whats the best way to quickly fix it without taking it apart or taking it to a camera shop?

Some people have had good luck banging the camera against something, but I wouldn't advise it.

Internal Memory Full/Memory Card empty (Betteye — 09/01/2012)
Nikon COOLPIX S3300 instructions are poor. My camera says memory is full. It has written to the internal memory rather than the 2g card. How do I tell the camera to write to the card and not internal memory? I never tried to take a pic without having the 2g card installed. Please help. I'm on vacation.

Try going into the menus and hitting Format Memory Card. That should solve the problem for you, although it does delete everything on the card so be sure you have everything backed up.
