Stood the test of time (Rachelle — 12/17/2010)
This camera has been a true companion for over five years. It has been dropped on volcanic ashes and canals, and never let me down. I am ready to upgrade, as the battery is starting to not last as long and the zoom no longer meets my needs. But five years of great photos are proof that this camera was a good decision.

Don't waste your money (Camara user 3000 — 12/19/2007)

I had a fuji fine pix that was 2 years old that took much shaper pictures. All my indoor pictures are very grainy and unclear. Outdoor pictures are grainy as well. If the light isn't "perfect" for this camera the pictures come out terrible. I would not recommend this camera for anyone.

Good Starter Cam (DB — 12/30/2006)

The D-630 was given to me as a gift. It's a nice camera, however, Olympus is an extremely greedy and non-user friendly company. If you forget to take your user's manual with you... forget finding it online. Also, the xD memory card typically runs a lot more than the other standard memory cards including Sony's Memory Stick. Until Olympus becomes more user and customer friendly... I wouldn't highly recommend this camera.

Meh.... (noah — 11/18/2006)

I have to say that this is a step down from my last camera which was also an Olympus, which I will not buy again. Although, the upclose images I've taken are incredible, overall, I'm a bit dissappointed.

Do not buy this camera (Mary G — 05/04/2005)

I waited to buy this camera for 1 month- even resisted buying other cameras when I really needed it for a trip. The camera itself looks great- but the photos it takes are REALLY bad. My 5 yr old 3 megapixel camera took much better and much sharper pictures. It makes my old camera look like a 7 megapixel camera in comparison. The indoor pics are so grainy I'd be embarrassed to show them to anyone. Disposable cameras would have done a better job- really. The flash is not very good. The LCD screen is pretty bad too. I gave it a chance after taking a few pics in the store- that maybe it would look better on the computer screen. I was wrong and I'm taking the camera back. What I really wanted was to throw it out the window- but I will take it back and get a different camera. It's pretty, but a waste of time and money. Olympus should be ashamed of putting out such a poor quality camera. Do not buy- get something else!
