Olympus FE-3010
Editor's Review
The latest generation of Olympus' FE line, the 3010 offers a lot of power in a small package. A 3X optical zoom and 12-megapixel resolution makes sure that every picture comes out as clear and as sharp as you remember it. Advanced Detection and Intelligent Auto ensure that your subjects aren't obscured by blurs or shadows, while Pre-set Shooting modes allow users to customize according to lighting conditions. All together in a super-thin metal body (.7-inches!).

Olympus FE-3010 Comments & Questions (write your own!)
I strongly advise every one to steer clear of Olympus because they do not honour their warranty obligations!
OTH, it could be caused by not getting enough power. This could be cause by depleted or underpowered batteries, or even dirty battery contacts that are preventing proper contact. Outside of that, I'd recommend having Olympus take a look at it.
But in the end, you have to look at the numbers pertaining to your camera, and it's not all that great. You can use programs like Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom to process the picture to improve it, but do you want to do that with every shot? I don't think so.
I prefer to let the camera do what it does best - take pictures, and let software do what it does best - manipulation of those images.
does it have an image stabilization & smile shutter features?
thanks

My parents decided to get me this camera for Christmas. I was excited until i started to use it. Almost ever picture is blurry and the stabilizer doesn't even work, and in half of my pictures the lighting is way off. All i have to say is that you would be better off not getting this camera.

I've bought this camera with high expectations, because it's an Olympus, so normally great pictures... But I was wrong obviously. The camera is worthless, you can't take any picture that is worth showing someone, they are all blurry. Also the focus is very bad, if you focus on something specific, that's the object that will be the most blurry of all.

The Olympus Fe-3010 in my opinion was a waste of money. Every picture taken with it was blurry, the stabilizer doesn't work, and the lighting is horrible. Those beautiful pictures shown on the Olympus site are a lie and I don't recommend this camera. It's not a point and shoot camera and I hardly ever use it anymore. It's very frustrating and I hope that before you decide to purchase this camera, you read this review. Please, don't buy this camera. You could find one so much better.

I've tried every mode this camera has to offer and almost every picture was sub par. The stabilization feature did not work, almost every picture was blurry (still shots), I even tried to change shutter speeds and sports modes and each of those features created additional problems.
This is not a user friendly point and shoot camera. I cant imagine Olympus still has this model on the shelf. Other Olympus camera models, I'm sure, are fantastic but the fe-3010 is surely a disappointment.
I would be hard pressed to purchase another Olympus after this experiece.

I have always loved an Olympus and thought this was a bargain camera - but I am so disappointed - the picture quality is awful and it does not seem to be a handy point and shoot camera - I wish I had never bought this camera. Poor picture quality. Needs a tripod to improve the pic.
My best Olympus has been the c-770 - a few years old now, but a fantastic camera that has travelled everywhere with me and never missed a good pic

This is a great little camera for the money. The camera has a lot of features that make it easy to take great pictures. I have not had one problem with this camera since i have had it. I have used the camera in different lighting conditions and all of my pictures look great nice and clear and crisp. I would recommend this camera too any one that wants a small camera that will fit in their shirt pocket and takes great pictures.

I got it as a gift, it takes very, very good pictures and is easy to learn. You will have to buy the mico memory card, if not it will only hold about ten pictures and will say full.

I've only had this camera for one day and after you take a picture it goes into "busy" mode, meaning it takes forever for the picture to save in the camera. I don't like waiting.
