The FZ-150 may not have the enormous zoom range of some of its competitors(and how often do you really need 1000mm, Nikon?), but it makes up for that shortcoming with its truly impressive image quality. The FZ-series has always been at the top of the extended zoom game, and this model further solidifies its rightful spot among the best. While the zoom range is the same as the cheaper FZ47, the FZ-150 has a much better CMOS sensor that makes it the clear winner in low light and a swivel 3-inch LCD. Other features include 1080p HD video, stereo sound recording, a bright f2.8 25mm wide-angle, and an electronic viewfinder. It's definitely an expensive camera, however, and the lack of a GPS is surprising.

Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ150 Comments & Questions (write your own!)
To ZOOM or not to ZOOM? This is the question!(Giovanni Fois — 09/12/2012)
In 2001 I had a digital camera with 5MP and 3x zoom. Then I was thinking: "If I have a lot of pixels I can crop and get closer to the subject". This is true, and 5MP that era was a top value! But suddenly I noticed the Lumix FZ1 with 2MP 12x zoom ratio and F: 2.8 for all the focal range. My sons were learning to swim, and you know that in a gym, the light is most artificial and weak, you can´t get close without fall in the pool, far away the flash don´t reach, sports demand quick shutter (the same if you want to make movies) and most zooms get slower at full extension (usually -2 stops or f:5.6). So, the Lumix FZ1 with custom white balance (that era was not a comon feature),12x zoom, f: 2.8 all the way, and (then was very rare) OIS (Optical Image Stabilization) was very interesting. Yes, I know, it´s flash was very weak, but even if stronguer would be useless in that situation. As premium, it would be possible to get movies ! Movies were impossible without 2 stops of aperture, even at maximum iso (that was 400), the short reach of 3x zoom and horrible colors caused by preset inadequate W.Balance. Well, the FZ1 was a sucess! (it still is in my sons hands, seem a tank surviving so much falls) but then I want a review! I compared identical frames at 1X and 3X zoom on both cameras (there was small differences in focal length and I managed to get very close results. Tanks to God I choise a trees panorama from my office window! When I picked in the resulting images using similar ratios, the first thing that shocked me was the difference of colors, one was bluisher than the other... Quickly I starred out the window...The lumix was much closer to the real tree! Then come all surprises... The 2MP images were sharper than the 5MP, in 1x samples and even more in the 3x samples! But this was not all the story! In one the blacks where very dark greys and in the other seemed a bluish dark grey. The light between de leafs flooded much more in the 5 MP sensor. The chroma aberration in the corners... To be short I put the 5MP camera on EBAY (mercadolivre here in Brazil) and learned to be sure, by comparisons, to don´t zoom in the blur.... Actually I´m very happy with a FZ150, and I´m waiting for the reviews about the new FZ 200... probably my Christmas self gift. I own a Canon EOS 450, but I discovered that nigh photos without tripod were impossible compared to mirrorless due to the mirror bump (lights apears as small vertical lines). Even high iso is useles.... you must carry a heavy tripod and do prior lift of mirror when possible to get good results with DSLR... very boring...
When we will get the new FZ series camera from Panasonic(Shahidul Islam — 05/05/2012)
No doubt its a super camera, but with built in GPS -Nikon P510 gets a little bit preference..When we can expect the new FZ series camera from Panasonic? I am eagerly waiting to get one mega zoom beside my Nikon DSLR.. Will be waiting few days to decide...
It's certainly overdue, although interesting that it's still highly competitive regarding image quality. The zoom range definitely isn't up there with the latest and greatest, of course.

Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users
Panasonic makes cameras that blend longer zoom ranges with image stabilization at a reasonable price. This undoubtedly helps the Panasonic digital cameras meet the requirements of photographers who need versatility in small packages. Offering something for amateurs and serious enthusiasts alike, Panasonic offers a wide range of digital cameras, from ultra compacts to mirrorless cameras. Each model has its own distinctive features and traits, which make them difficult to compare.
People who like using automatic modes will find Panasonic digital cameras very useful. The camera will automatically choose the best scene mode for the desired subject using the iAuto feature, which is included in close to all Panasonic cameras currently produced. This tool, in combination with image stabilization should really help beginners take excellent photos.
Panasonic cameras are made to be user friendly, providing the user with easy access to settings, and Panasonic digital camera reviews by users reflect this fact. If you purchase a Panasonic camera, you will see that it possesses an LCD screen, an optical zoom lens which is very versatile, and is both lightweight and reasonably compact.
There are some excellent choices among Panasonic's cameras, most notably the Panasonic Lumix ZS20. A GPS tracker, a 20x optical zoom lens, and image stabilization that will make sure your pictures are steady even when you're using maximum zoom are several of the features that make this camera a popular choice. Panasonic has included manual modes but the automatic modes and iAuto mode make the camera a perfect choice for amateurs as well. Image quality is quite competitive, too, although not the best on the market.
