The SZ1 and SZ7, both under $200, are great travel zooms for those on a budget. Both have a powerful 10x zoom, optical image stabilization, and 3-inch LCD, but the SZ7 gains a CMOS sensor that does 1080p HD video at 60fps, stereo sound, and a higher resolution screen. Noise becomes a problem in the SZ1 early on and only gets worse as the light gets lower. The SZ7 does a little better, but there are better budget options from Sony and Nikon.
