Panasonic Lumix FX10
Editor's Review
Available in blue, black, or silver, the Panasonic FX10 rounds out the low end of their new 2007 line. With 6-megapixels (as opposed to the companion model FX12's 7), this camera has more than enough resolution for the typical user, but may not be the best value considering how 7-megapixel cameras are becoming more prevalent. In any case, the FX10 is a compact camera with decent, middle-of-the-road specifications. If you think this might be just enough for you, check out the FX12 before you make a final decision.

Panasonic Lumix FX10 Comments & Questions (write your own!)
Both of these cameras use AA batteries, so I'm not sure you're going to get what you want out of them. If I had to choose between them, I would go with the Nikon L11 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ). It has slightly larger ISO capabilities (better for low lighting, but not the highest out there at 800), and I've used Nikon CoolPix cameras before and found them very easy to use.
I would also like to suggest you look at the Panasonic FX10 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ). It has a lithium ion battery, is a sub-compact camera that will easily fit in your pocket, and it has an ISO range up to 3200. While you will notice more noise or "graininess" in your photos at this setting, it will perform better in low light situations. It also has image stabilization, which the other two cameras don't, and costs as low as $130 right now. Good luck and happy shooting.

I'm glad to help. Feel free to come back to DCHQ ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ) with any more questions or issues. Good luck and happy shooting.

Personally, I don't see much value in the few extra options of the FX30 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ); I would purchase the FX10 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ), if I was picking between the two. The higher ISO settings will help you in lower light situations, and you can't beat the price.

I AM CONSIDERING A640 CANON AT 10 MP
I USED TO SHOOT A NIKON 35MM AT SMALL LENS OPENING WITH THE CAMERA CHOOSING SHUTTER SPEED FOR SHARPER PIX AND ALWAYS USED 80 ISO OUTDOORS AND 200 INDOORS
HELP ME CHOOSE - I AM RETIRED AND WOULD LOVE TO OWN A SLR DIG. BUT $$$$ - I'D LIKE TO STAY UNDER 250.00 IF POSS.
WHATS YOUR TAKE ON "FACT. REFURB. ???
A great new camera that I would recommed is the Panasonic Lumix FX10 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ), it has 6MP, great image stablization good ISO range, good price, new technology. I would stay away from Refurbished cameras unless you are really desperate for a cheap SLR.
Good Luck
THANK YOU
