Blurry pics with the Panasonic GF1.. (jim — 05/23/2010)
Are you using the Panasonic 20mm f1.7 lens? Its a superb lens but lacks Image Stabilisation and the GF1 body unlike the Oly EP1 doesn't have IS on board. Also set the ISO to Auto to compensate for changes in light levels. And dont forget to hold the GF1 really still when shooting in low light, esp.at low ISO numbers.

Panasonic has the built in flash (Marcia — 04/18/2010)
The GF1 has the built in flash, the Olympus doesn't. Also the Panasonic has faster focusing.

GF1 vs E-PL1 (bubuli — 04/04/2010)
Between Lumix GF1 and Olympus E-PL1, which is a better buy?

That's tough...we haven't tried either, but the reports I've read seem to lean in favor of the Olympus. It has a built-in flash, which the Panasonic lacks, and it's cheaper. I can't speak to the image quality, but overall, it seems like the Olympus is the better buy and is perhaps the best representation of what the M 4/3 genre is supposed to be about -- compact body, near dSLR-quality images.

flash (B Chalifour — 05/10/2010)
Why not check info before spreading the word. One of the advantages of the GF1 over the Olympus is that the GF1 DOES have a flash, the Olympus does NOT.

Actually (Rebecca — 10/13/2010)
Actually they both include a flash. The E-P1 does not have a flash but the EPL-1 DOES. Those are two different cameras by Olympus. The GF1 includes a flash. For some reason Olympus did not include the flash on the E-PL2 I believe which is a main reason people go for the E-PL1 instead of the E-PL2.

Panasonic GF1 - Blurry Pictures. (Newatthis — 12/27/2009)
I have the GF1 and I am just learning how to use it. I found, however, that if my subject moves - even a little bit - the pictures are blurry. Is there a sports setting that I should be using? Thanks for your help; every review i see about this camera shows that it is awesome, so I am sure it is something I am doing.

You may want to try using a flash, even in daylight. This will freeze your subject in the image and make them "pop." There should also be a sports program setting in the menu settings. But since you just got the camera, you need to get used to how it works. Try prefocusing the subject (put them dead int he middle and press down the shutter half way to prefocus. Then recompose the image and press down the rest of the way to shoot the picture. Not only will you lock the focus in, but you'll cut your shutter lag by up to 60%.
