Panasonic Lumix LZ6
Editor's Review
The Panasonic LZ6 is an affordable easy-to-use entry-level camera, nearly identical to the Lumix LZ7 aside from a somewhat smaller LCD screen. The 7-megapixel sensor is the new mid-range benchmark, and will provide for high-resolution photos and large prints. Panasonic's MEGA Optical Image Stabilization will reduce blurs and jitters so you get the best possible shot every time. The LZ6 also features a unique 'Baby Mode,' which allows you to record the age of your child directly onto the photo. The camera also allows for normal timestamping as well.

Panasonic Lumix LZ6 Comments & Questions (write your own!)
I have a iMac and I can't seem to download photos onto iphoto with this camera
You can find the English version of the instruction manual here ( service.us.panasonic.com/OP... ). Good luck and happy shooting.

I don't see any cameras that fit your needs under $100. Your best bet under $200 looks to be the Panasonic LZ6 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ). It meets your price and image stabilization specifications and has an ISO setting of up to 3200. This higher setting will be more light sensitive and work better in darker situations. You might see some graininess in your photos at that level, but that is the sacrifice for more capability. The graininess can be removed with image editing software after you download the photos to your computer. I use Paint Shop Pro and have found that it works really well. Good luck and happy shooting.

If you don't like the Panasonic LZ6 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ) for $179.99, you can try one of the Kodak cameras that you mentioned above. Neither one of the Kodaks has image stabilization, and both only go to ISO 800, so they will not do as well in lower light situations. They also both have 6 MP vs the 7.2 of the Panasonic. Both Kodaks also cost more at $183 and $186. As for customer ratings, the Kodak v603 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ) gets 3.94 out of 5 stars while the Kodak Z650 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ) rates 4.44 out of 5 stars. My first choice is still the Panasonic LZ6 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ). If that was not an option of the 3, I would pick the Kodak Z650 ( digitalcamera-hq.com/digita... ).

This is the second point and shoot DC I have owned by Panasonic. These cameras take wonderful pictures if used right. Read the manual if you have little experience. I can tell you that the Oxyride batteries and most alkalines are useless in these cameras. The Eneloop rechargables are the only way to go made by Sanyo. They will pay for themselves in a week. The only other camera serious people should be buying in this sub $200 price range is a Canon.

I really liked this camera up until I recorded in movie mode...Where did the sound go? I thought I had my computer audio muted but I was wrong...Other than that the camera performed better than I expected for the price (149.00). I bought a 2 gig memory card and have not deleted any pics from it yet. Good pics and I even was able to take the camera off of auto and fine tuned it to my liking....Great camera for the price.

I cannot believe that a digital camera is manufactured without audio for movie mode.
I bought this camera in a hurry while on vacation.
However I never realized that it did not have audio. Even our old 2.2 MP HP has audio.
I find that the MENU button is easily pressed by accident when handling the camera. I have had
many pictures taken out of focus.
Quality seems good but if you do any home movies on a computer, look else where for something with audio. The LX7 may be ok.
