Editor's Review

The Panasonic Lumix TZ50 grafts WiFi capability and a sweet 1-year access deal onto the existing Lumix TZ5. This capable performer offers a 9.1-megapixel imaging sensor paired with a 10x optically stabilized zoom lens. The lens is wide angle, making it ideal for crowd and landscape shots. Other standout features include a high-resolution 3.0-inch LCD screen and the advanced Intelligent Auto mode, which analyzes a scene and adjusts exposure, ISO, red-eye, and face detection settings to produce the best possible shot on the fly. The TZ50's wireless capability can be used at any T-Mobile Hotspot, and allows users to upload their photos directly to Picasa web albums.

Panasonic Lumix TZ50 Reviews

Panasonic Lumix TZ50 Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users

  • 3.0 out of 5
good but should be great (Linda — 12/31/2009)

focus is not always as it should be, leaves a little to be desired.
date/time stamp very important in my line of work, has it but not automaticly, after pix taken you have to go under tools to get it stamped.
My aunt has a $130 Canon that takes better pictures than my Lumix but the wide angle lens is why I keep it around.

Great camera with loads of capabilities and style (Rita Brohman — 07/17/2008)

This little camera is great for those who are interested in good optical zoom and high megapixel options. I rarely shoot above a 4-5 MP because I don't like the storage space and since I'm only printing 4x6 or 8x10 photos - having the 10x optical meets my requirements for clarity at distance... this camera is a great size - has great options for auto and even has an ability to upload pics to the web! The movie mode opts are better than most cameras and I'm quite happy with the new lense that Panasonic has purchased. I've always been a Nikkon person and have thought that Nikkon and Cannon have the only options for digital cameras because of their lenses... this all changes with Panasonic's new lense... I highly recommend this for folks who like high quality pics and photo ability without being a professional photographer!
