Another entrant into the travel-zoom game, the RZ10 is worth a look for its 10x optical zoom and low price compared to similar models. On paper, it looks like a solid, no-nonsense competitor to cameras like the Nikon S8000, Samsung HZ30W, and on the high-end, Casio FH100, Panasonic ZS5, and Canon SX210. Pentax has a spotty record with point-and-shoots, but if the versatility of a long zoom is up your alley, the RZ10 might be a worthy purchase. Expect street prices to drop even further as the holidays approach as well.
