Editor's Review

The GR Digital IV is a modest upgrade to 2009's III, in fact the megapixel count and most of the features haven't changed at all. A camera built for street shooters, the GR Digital IV incorporates a 28mm f1.9 lens (there's no zoom here!) that is both sharp and fast. Image quality is stellar for a sensor of this size, competing quite well with the other prosumer compacts on the market. The problem is the camera's price. $600 can buy you a lot of camera these days, especially with the diminutive mirrorless cameras now on the market, all of which offer faster operation and better image quality than the GR Digital IV.
