The successor to the highly-successful HX9, the HX10 refines the very good build and usability of its predecessor. The specifications are even more impressive, an 18 megapixel sensor and 16x optical zoom, yet the body is quite a bit lighter and more comfortable in the hand. It looks like that new sensor is actually pretty good, besting its 16-megapixel predecessor at high ISOs while eking out a little extra detail (along with some more noise) in good light. The HX10 is the cheapest of Sony's new travel zoom line, which includes the HX20 and HX30, and its zoom range is smaller as a result. Still, this makes it the best deal of the three without giving up much in the way of features.

Throughout the past three decades, Sony has been at the forefront of the consumer electronics market. All Sony digital cameras demonstrate the company's devotion to implementing the latest technology together with a sleek style to make high-quality compact digital cameras for casual users, hobbyists, and now professional photographers.
The Newest Innovation in Sony Digital Cameras
Sony announced the release of the DSC-RX1, its latest camera, in September 2012. This will be the first available full-frame compact digital camera, according to Sony. A 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor attached to a capable 35mm f2 lens makes this a very desirable camera. Being capable of producing professional quality photos in a small package that can fit in your pocket ensure the popularity of this camera.
Two of the finest digital cameras by Sony of 2012 according to consumer ratings include the following:
* Sony Cybershot HX30V: This Sony digital camera is capable of great video and photos in a very compact yet flexible package great for someone on the go. The 18.2 megapixel camera is known for its fast performance, including full HD video capture and very fast continuous burst mode, on top of features like a GPS tracker. * Sony Cybershot HX200V: Its fast burst mode and very large 35x optical zoom has resulted in this model being rated as one of Sony's best digital cameras by consumers. The lack of RAW capture makes it clear that Sony is gearing this camera for a market that's more amateur than a lot of the competition. The HX200's image quality is rated from good to excellent by Sony digital camera reviews, with the video quality being among the best available.
