Editor's Review

The successor to the highly-successful HX9, the HX10 refines the very good build and usability of its predecessor. The specifications are even more impressive, an 18 megapixel sensor and 16x optical zoom, yet the body is quite a bit lighter and more comfortable in the hand. It looks like that new sensor is actually pretty good, besting its 16-megapixel predecessor at high ISOs while eking out a little extra detail (along with some more noise) in good light. The HX10 is the cheapest of Sony's new travel zoom line, which includes the HX20 and HX30, and its zoom range is smaller as a result. Still, this makes it the best deal of the three without giving up much in the way of features.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V Reviews

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-HX10V Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users

Over the past thirty years, Sony has been a leader in the consumer electronics industry. Sony produces cameras that are perfect for casual users, hobbyists, and professional photographers through dedicating themselves to using the latest technology with a sleek and minimal style, resulting in an end product of the highest quality.

The Newest Sony Digital Camera Innovation

Sony announced the release of the DSC-RX1, its latest camera, in September 2012. As indicated by Sony, this is the world's first full-frame compact digital camera. A 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor attached to a capable 35mm f2 lens makes this a very desirable camera. Being capable of producing professional quality photos in a small package that fits in your pocket ensure the popularity of this camera.

Consumer ratings have referred to the following cameras as two of Sony's best digital cameras of 2012:

* Sony Cybershot HX30V: For high quality video and photos in a package that's compact, but versatile, and ideal for consumers that love travelling, this is a perfect Sony digital camera. The 18.2 megapixel camera is known for its fast performance, including full HD video capture and extremely fast continuous burst mode, on top of features like a GPS tracker.
* Sony Cybershot HX200V: Its fast burst mode and extremely large 35x optical zoom has resulted in this camera being rated as one of Sony's best digital cameras by consumers. The lack of RAW capture makes it quite apparent that Sony is intending this camera for a market that's more amateur than a lot of the competition. Sony digital camera reviews rate the HX200's image quality as good to excellent, with the video quality being one of the the finest you can get.

Sony has a vast array of digital cameras suitable for photographers of any skill level, and reviews of most of the cameras offered by Sony can be found on this site. You will be totally happy with the end result regardless of which Sony digital camera you decide on.
