The HX20V is Sony's midrange travel zoom camera, and comes with the same lens and essentially the same feature set as the more expensive HX30V. A 20x zoom fits in a pretty small body that, with its 18 megapixel CMOS sensor, performs surprisingly well in low light. Images can be soft when
looked at closely, but overall the sensor pulls more detail out of a
scene than Sony's prior 16 megapixel iterations. Focus speed as well as
burst speeds are among the fastest on the market, too, which helps make
up for the lack of RAW. In summary, a great package that competes with
the best of the travel zooms. The only difference between the two cameras is the HX30's addition of WiFi.

The Newest Innovation in Sony Digital Cameras
Sony announced the release of its latest camera, the Cybershot DSC-RX1, in September 2012. This is the world's first full-frame compact digital camera, according to Sony. A 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor attached to a capable 35mm f2 lens makes this camera very desirable. Being able to produce professional quality photos in a small package that can fit in your pocket ensure the popularity of this camera.
Two of the best digital cameras by Sony of 2012 according to consumer ratings include the following:
* Sony Cybershot HX30V: This Sony digital camera produces fantastic video and photos in a very compact yet flexible package great for travel. The 18.2 megapixel camera is known for its fast performance, including full HD video capture and very fast continuous burst mode, on top of features like a GPS tracker. * Sony Cybershot HX200V: This model is rated as one of Sony's best digital cameras by consumers because of its very large 35x optical zoom and fast burst mode. The lack of RAW capture makes it clear that Sony is gearing this camera for a market that's more amateur than some of the competition. The HX200's image quality is rated from good to excellent by Sony digital camera reviews, and video quality is among the greatest you can get.
