Editor's Review

The TX20, along with the more expensive TX200, is a truly intriguing camera although a minor upgrade from the TX10. Waterproof to 16 feet and drop-resistant to five, the TX20 manages rugged without sacrificing style. It looks just like any of the touchscreen, internal lens models made by a number of manufacturers but is tough as well. Other features include a 16 megapixel BSI sensor, a 4x optical zoom with 25mm wide-angle, 1080p HD video, and 10fps continuous shooting. Reviews have been middling, with reviewers decrying just average image quality and the all-touchscreen operation. Also note that both Olympus and Fujifilm offer slightly cheaper models, the TG-820 iHS and XP150, that do have more rugged ratings.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 Reviews

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users

Over the past thirty years, Sony has been a leader in the consumer electronics industry. Sony produces cameras that are perfect for casual users, hobbyists, and professional photographers through dedicating themselves to using the latest technology with a sleek and minimal style, resulting in an end product of the highest quality.

The Newest Sony Digital Camera Innovation

Sony announced the release of its latest camera, the Cybershot DSC-RX1, in September 2012. This is the world's first full-frame compact digital camera, according to Sony. A 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor attached to a capable 35mm f2 lens makes this camera very desirable. Being able to produce professional quality photos in a small package that can fit in your pocket ensure the popularity of this camera.

Consumer ratings point to the following cameras as two of Sony's best digital cameras of 2012:

* Sony Cybershot HX30V: This Sony digital camera produces great video and photos in a package that's very compact, yet versatile, and perfect for someone on the go. A GPS tracker, full HD video capture, and an extremely fast continuous burst mode make this 18.2 megapixel camera one that is very full featured. It's sought after for its fast performance as well.
* Sony Cybershot HX200V: Its fast burst mode and very large 35x optical zoom has resulted in this model being rated as one of Sony's best digital cameras by consumers. Without RAW capture, it's obvious that Sony is aiming the camera at a more amateur market than a lot of the competition. The HX200's image quality is rated from good to excellent by Sony digital camera reviews, and video quality is one of the the finest available.

Sony has a broad product line of digital cameras suitable for photographers of any skill level, and reviews of most of the cameras offered by Sony can be found on this site. You will be totally happy with the end result regardless of which Sony digital camera you decide on.
