Editor's Review

The TX20, along with the more expensive TX200, is a truly intriguing camera although a minor upgrade from the TX10. Waterproof to 16 feet and drop-resistant to five, the TX20 manages rugged without sacrificing style. It looks just like any of the touchscreen, internal lens models made by a number of manufacturers but is tough as well. Other features include a 16 megapixel BSI sensor, a 4x optical zoom with 25mm wide-angle, 1080p HD video, and 10fps continuous shooting. Reviews have been middling, with reviewers decrying just average image quality and the all-touchscreen operation. Also note that both Olympus and Fujifilm offer slightly cheaper models, the TG-820 iHS and XP150, that do have more rugged ratings.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 Reviews

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-TX20 Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users

Over the past three decades, Sony has taken the lead in the consumer electronics market. All Sony digital cameras demonstrate the company's commttment to using the latest technology together with a simple style to make high-quality compact digital cameras for casual users, hobbyists, and now professional photographers.

The Newest Innovation in Sony Digital Cameras

Sony announced the release of the DSC-RX1, its latest camera, in September 2012. This will be the first available full-frame compact digital camera, according to Sony. A 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor attached to a capable 35mm f2 lens makes this a very desirable camera. Being capable of producing professional quality photos in a small package that can fit in your pocket ensure the popularity of this camera.

Two of the finest digital cameras by Sony of 2012 according to consumer ratings include the following:

* Sony Cybershot HX30V: This Sony digital camera is capable of fantastic video and photos in a very compact yet versatile package great for travel. The 18.2 megapixel camera is known for its fast performance, including full HD video capture and extremely fast continuous burst mode, as well as features like a GPS tracker.
* Sony Cybershot HX200V: This model has been rated by consumers as one of Sony's best digital cameras because of its very large 35x optical zoom and fast burst mode. Lacking RAW capture, it's clear that Sony is aiming the camera at a market that's more amateur than some of the competition. The HX200's image quality has been rated from good to excellent in Sony digital camera reviews, and video quality is among the best on the market.
