Sony's W-series cameras are stylish, effective shooters at reasonable prices. The W570's 25mm wide-angle and 5x optical zoom lens is adequate for most uses, while the bloated 16 megapixel sensor will get the job done. We are a bit disappointed that it got rid of the 7x zoom that basically made its predecessor, the W370, a point-and-shoot leader. We'd probably recommend that you look elsewhere for this kind of money ($180), or at least save a few bucks and go with the W560.

They're fairly similar in general, but have varying zoom ranges, megapixel counts, sensor types, so on. Some specs affect picture quality, some are just "extra" features, some impact user friendliness. Any specific questions?

Canon takes the best pictures, better than Panasonic. The A3300 is in that price range, though for a few extra dollars, you can snag the ELPH 100 HS -- best camera at its price point.

Easily the Nikon -- longer zoom, better sensor, higher-res video...better in pretty much every way. Compare the spec sheets, and pretty much better across the board.

I think this model has good HD movie quality also in low light performance in video but iam not satisfied to picture quality as compare its video quality. its good as a video camera not like photo shoot camera
