Editor's Review

The W-series has done really well in the past couple years, blending a diminutive size with stylish brushed-metal body and snappy performance. The W620 comes in at $10 more than the W610, yet we aren't sure that's money well-spent. The zoom gets an upgrade to 5x, yet loses the wider 26mm and f2.8 of the W610. The camera is also quite a bit larger and still doesn't have image stabilization. 720p HD video is included, however, so if that's a necessity then $10 extra is probably worth it.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W620 Reviews

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-W620 Reviews by Digital Camera-HQ Users

Throughout the past three decades, Sony has been at the forefront of the consumer electronics market. Sony has made cameras that are great for casual users, hobbyists, and professional photographers by dedicating themselves to using the latest technology with minimalist styling, resulting in an end product of the highest quality.

The Latest Sony Digital Camera Innovation

Sony announced the release of its latest camera, the Cybershot DSC-RX1, in September 2012. According to Sony, this is the world's first full-frame compact digital camera. A 24.3 megapixel full-frame sensor attached to a capable 35mm f2 lens makes this camera very desirable. This pocketable combination produces professional-quality photos in a relatively small package.

Two of the best Sony digital cameras of 2012 according to consumer ratings include the following:

* Sony Cybershot HX30V: For great photos and video in a compact yet flexible package that's perfect for people who like travelling, this is a perfect Sony digital camera. The 18.2 megapixel camera is known for its fast performance, including full HD video capture and very fast continuous burst mode, as well as features like a GPS tracker.
* Sony Cybershot HX200V: This model is rated by consumers as one of Sony's best digital cameras because of its extremely large 35x optical zoom and fast burst mode. The lack of RAW capture makes it clear that Sony is aiming the camera at a more amateur market than some of the competition. The HX200's image quality is rated from good to excellent in Sony digital camera reviews, and video quality is one of the the finest on the market.

Sony has a broad product line of digital cameras suitable for photographers of any skill level, and reviews of most of the cameras offered by Sony can be found on this site. No matter what Sony digital camera you choose, you will be pleased with the photos and videos you make.
