The W-series has done really well in the past couple years, blending a
diminutive size with stylish brushed-metal body and snappy performance. The W650 is $20 more than the W620 but gains an extra 2 megapixels, a better 5x zoom with 25mm wide-angle, larger LCD screen, and image stabilization (finally!) It's also slimmer, albeit a little heavier, and the lens is faster at the wide end. This many upgrades are well worth your money.

does this camera have a date stamp feature?

Yes you can change this feature under "Write Date" in the shooting settings.
