Sony CyberShot DSC-U50

Editor's Review

The tiny Sony DSC-U50, which features a unique swiveling lens and three choices of body color, offers 2-megapixel resolution and ultra hip styling. Designed for photographers looking for a hassle-free camera for simple snapshots and emailing pictures, the U50 offers reasonable battery life and very fast startup time, but no optical zoom and almost no manual controls. Unfortunately, the U50's tiny body (which measures 4" x 1.7" x 1") doesn't leave much room for the LCD viewfinder — some owners may find the tiny 1" screen difficult to use.

Much better than camera handy's (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

Great camera, even better in low light situations than my Nikon - the Sony does not try to make exposure like daylight, so you can see it was dark or that the candle did not light the room much. There's no idea in comparing this to anything other than tiny compacts and there, it holds its ground. I use it every day! whereas my Nikon 4500 I use occasionally because it does not fit in my pocket like the Sony does.

Great Snapshot Camera (anonymous — 07/18/2006)

Buy this one to get the shots you have always missed because you forgot your camera. Very small and handy. Quick start up and easy to use. Keep it in your purse or briefcase. 2 megapixel resolution means you must limit size to snapshots, but the quality of the photographs is very good. Lack of zoom is only real negative.
