Video file can not be access in the computer (Ababeel Candong — 06/28/2010)
My video and image files are playing well in my camera and TV, but if I connect the T90 camera in the computer only the image file can be access whereas the video file can not, How can I access my video file in the computer, please help me to find the solutions. Thanks!!

I bought 8gb memory stick pro duo for my Sony t90 camera and when I inserted the mem stick, the camera screen shows "reinsert the memory stick." Anyone experience this problem? I tried the 8gb mem stick in my other digi cam (Sony DSC - T77) and it works fine so I know that the memory stick doesn't have a problem.

Well, it should. My suggestion is to try another memory stick. If the problem persists, then you have an issue with the T90 and it'll need to be repaired. But if you can read it, then that points to a memory stick that's corrupted or ready to fail.

Okay, so I bought an 8gb memory stick pro duo for my Sony t90 camera. When I inserted the mem stick and turned on the camera, the LCD screen shows "reinsert the memory stick." Does anyone has experience this problem? I tried the 8gb mem stick in my other digi cam (Sony DSC - T77) and it works fine so I know that the memory stick doesn't have a problem.

That doesn't sound right. Can you get to any menu options? If so try to reformat the card in the camera. This will erase it so make sure you have your photos off first. Otherwise, um, is it a new camera? You might have some sort of error. I'm thinking it might even be confused because the card was in another camera, in which case a reformat should 'clear it.' Maybe even try reformatting it in your T77 and then putting it into the T90.

From Sony - "An letter and number error code of C:32:xx indicates a temporary issue with the camera hardware. It can normally be resolved by turning the camera off and on again."
Reset the camera, look to see if Sony has a firmware update. Download and install it. Clean your battery contacts. Cycle the camera on again. If it doesn't work, you could try another battery, but the camera may need servicing. Still under warranty?

Opening Display Message (Kate48 — 09/28/2009)
Just bought a Sony Cybershot T90 and installed a new Sony Memory Pro Duo stick. When camera is switched on it displays this message - This "Memory stick my not record or play. - When the screen is pressed the message disappears and everything is fine but is annoying having to repeat this process each time the camera is switched on. Does anyone know how to remove this message permanently??

Have you formatted the memory stick? I'd also check with Sony for a firmware update. Your firmware is only as up to date as the date the camera was built. So often, a firmware update has been released that addresses issues. Download and install. Also, reset the camera to reload the factory default settings.

i faced this very same problem when i purchased my cam from day 1, this continued for a couple of months afterwhich my memory cd got spoilt, upon paying a visit to the sony dealership here in PK, they came with all sorts of excuses like this has international warranty, you didnt purchase this from us etc etc. ultimately i ended up throwing it in the drain after breaking it in two.
now i have purchased a 8GB memory cd and surprisingly no more error messages. what i conclude from this experience of mine is the issue was with the cd not the cam.

How good is the sound quality in video record mode?! (keno1210 — 08/19/2009)
i go to alot of festivals and music events, including clubs etc... so any first hand experience in those atmospheres would really help me with my decision. I have found varies between cameras... some are terrible others are amazing.. this is my 2nd biggest influencing factor in purchasing a camera. so please any help is really appreciated. kind regards chris

It's not going to be all that great, quite frankly. Even if stereo (usually mono) the microphones in digital point and shoot cameras are cheap, omnidirectional mics which pick up everything and none of it very good. If sound is your thing, I'd recommend going the other way and getting a camcorder which shoots digital stills, but on that end, you end up with great sound but so-so quality prints. Life is a trade off.

the only diff that i could find was the screen size which is 3 in in T90 n 3.5 in inT900. else all specifications r d same, d design is slightly diff mosthly due to size

I get an E61:10 flashing on my screen, can anyone pleae help me on how to fix this? I can't take pictures and the screen is blurry! Pleaseeee Help:) (amz541 — 06/18/2009)
I bought the Sony Cybershot dsc-t90 30 days ago, dropped it once and now I get this error message and I cannot take pictures becaue of the flashing E61:10 on my screen. And the screen is blurry. Pleassseee help!!

E:61:10 is a lens error and fairly similar to the E:18 error that some Canon's have experienced in the past. You can cycle the camera on/off several times to see if it will come back, reinitialize the camera and upgrade the firmware. If that doesn't help, you're looking at a repair. Some have gotten results by giving the camera a firm "whack" on the side, but I wouldn't recommend it. Better to send it in while you're warranty is still in force.

Thing is, even when you set a camera to black and white mode, today’s digital cameras will shoot the image in color and then convert to black and white using software.
IMHO, your best bet is to turn them into black and white images using software like Photoshop or Picasa. That way you can not only strip the color to black and white, but you can also control the contrast and alter it how you like.

I totally agree with James. Doing black and white afterwards gives you the OPTION to go back to the color version. I don't think this camera (or many of them) actually offer black and white shooting, either, although you may be able to change things to black and white via the in-camera editing features.

Why go through the hassle of converting the picture yourself when previous cameras do it for you? Why remove that option? I'm extremely dissapointed. Is there anyway I can access the color mode option in the T-90? Why would the instruction manual mention that it includes that option if I can't access it?! Please help.

That's the date they'll be available to purchase online. But it's only speculation if that will be the date brick and mortars will sell them by. In fact, it may take a few days and even then, it won't be widespread. And just because it has a date, doesn't mean it may not slip. It's been known to happen.

Picture quality is good but not great. Touch screen controls are well thought out and easy to use, BUT not so good on a bright sunny day when it becomes difficult to see much on that screen. Reading glasses for those that use them are a must to operate this camera.
Low light performance is about average.
A fair bit of distortion when taking closeups.
The Flash is weaker than on other sub compacts that I've used.
I was disappointed to see the battery charger twice the size of the camera. This camera sells to those that want to travel light - why the relative big charger?

excellent detail, the only setback being the file size, which can reach up to 5MB. i can hardly upload those to facebook, can i? so, i switch to the 10MP. oh well. for those potential buyers out there, think twice. 12.1MP is really too much for casual use. (pimples are VISIBLE)
love the design though. smile detector and face detection works a treat. =D
