Kodak arrived late to the digital camera party despite developing one of the first models in 1975, but by 2005 the number one spot in US digital camera sales was attained by Kodak. This led Kodak to develop a collection of cameras that were simple to operate at prices that were inexpensive and to create a printer dock capable of printing photos from a Kodak digital camera immediately. While Kodak recently announced it would no longer be manufacturing digital cameras and would focus on printers instead, the models more recently released are still sold at major retailers and have key attributes for inexpensive prices.

Even though the size is small, the M583 has a significantly sized 3" LCD screen and a digital zoom of up to 5x and 8x optical zoom. With a resolution of 14.2 megapixels, it's more than adequate for taking high-quality pictures and printing 8x10's, and consumers are quick to point out its excellent battery life and very cheap price tag. It is easily one of the greatest values that can be found for digital cameras since it costs less than $100.

2) Kodak EasyShare Z5120 Digital Camera - The Z5120 costs a bit more than the M583 but boasts a 26x optical zoom with a fast f2.8 lens at wide angle. It's also the cheapest camera on the market with features that include RAW, manual modes, and image stabilization, making it a great choice for consumers that want cutting edge attributes at a value price. It takes AA batteries as opposed to a lithium-ion, meaning that you'll have power just about anywhere but the camera is a bit more heavy than others.

3) Kodak EasyShare C123 - If you're in the market for a waterproof camera that's really easy to use, the C123 is a great value and is waterproof up to 10 feet. While it lacks the picture quality of many other cameras and has no optical zoom, if waterproof is all you need and don't want to spend very much money, this is the way to go.
